Roasted Pumpkin, Poached Egg, Fried Sage thing.

I love happy mistakes accidents

I only have a quick idea, a lovely happy accident, for you today, just a taste after a very absent week – sorry!

pumpkin egg sage Above.

Roasted butternut pumpkin, sage fried in a little oil, chickpeas (from a tin!), runny yolked poached egg. Felix calls this another one of lili’s avant garde dinners. I call it delicious.

It is an accident, because it just happened. An idea here, a thought there, and suddenly there are chickpeas (I mean, what? :) . It all came together accidentally, but turned out to be wonderful :)

Such a simple prep but sounds nice. Actually though it was a breakfast item before “dinner” was mentioned. Seems like it would work nicely with bacon.

I thought it was breakfast too! Looks extremely delicious – that egg is like the icing on the cake.

This looks tasty! It’s good to have some more vegetarian ideas too. I can’t get over my desire to eat carbohydrates with every meal though, so I think I’d have to have it on toast.

Simon: Yeah, I had never thought of eating this for breakfast! If you had some leftover roasted pumpkin it would be quick, too :)

Y: I think I wrote that post in a daze, thats why I only managed a few sentences :) I meant accident, not mistake! I hadn’t planned it, it just sort of happened, deliciously

    Jen: Thanks :)

Arwen: Yeah, totally eat this with some great toasted sourdough, or even fresh turkish bread would be great

smileona: Oh, thank you! That is so nice to hear :)
