Hello Hanoi + an award.

Local Bun Cha
I’ve been here in Hanoi for a while now and I’m feeling pretty settled in, crossing the road no longer makes me hyperventilate and I’m finding places to eat, some better than others. Bun Cha has featured heavily, these char grilled pork patties floating in a sour broth with crunchy green papaya. Eat with piles of fresh greenery and cold rice noodles (Bun). Fried spring rolls (nem) optional.

It is still very warm here, don’t believe the locals in their puffy jackets and gloves, and the fruit has been wonderful. Juicy pomelo, flavourful bananas and passionfruit that smell like home.

After dairy-free Malaysia I’ve been craving calcium, so much so that I’ve gotten over my fear of and distaste for UHT milk. But vinamilk yoghurt is my favourite, and not just because consuming Vinamilk Yoghurt every day also brings you a smooth and flesh complexion, though this remains to be seen. The sweetened (có đuòng) version is best when frozen, often I eat it for dessert.

Chè Shop
I wish there was a chè shop closer to where I’m staying, awesome food within walking distance didn’t seem to be a priority when Pmum was house-hunting unfortunately. Regardless, expect more chè details soon.
In other news:
The lovely Betty The Hungry Girl has given me an award. But it isn’t all pats on the back and standing ovations, I’m supposed to do some stuff.
Over The Top Blog Award:
According to the rules of the award, I must provide my readers the answers to the below 35 questions in ONE WORD I also must THANK my award giver (thanks AB!) for this fun award AND grant 6 of my FAVORITE BLOGGERS this award. Then, give them the heads-up that they have been nominated by yours truly.
I am no so good at rules, so I can’t do this one word answer nonsense. Plus, this award has been around the block, so I won’t be nominating bloggers or passing on the award, but hey if you want it holler and I’ll pass it on.
